Tax Offset Program
The Tax Offset Program is a federally mandated program to
intercept state and federal tax refunds from noncustodial parents who are delinquent in making their
child support payments. These funds are either distributed to the custodial parent or recovered as repayment
for expended Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits. It has been proven to be
most effective with a collection of $38,432,641.14 in State Fiscal Year 2009.
